I would like to say thank you to Codman Square Health Center for giving us the support that we need to get through this difficult time. Keep us in your prayers because we still have not heard from our loved ones this is one of our biggest concerns right now.
UPS is currently shipping under 50 lbs to Haiti for free! Send medical supplies, kits, clothes….something of use!
Please add our website to the list – we are posting events in Dorchester as we find out about them.
Add Partners in Health (www.pih.org) as an organization that is providing support right now.
They are setting up Field Hospitals in Port-au-Prince and are pulling the resources of 120 physicians and 500 nurses already working in the country.
They are looking for financial assistance for medical supplies as well as medical volunteers. Check their website for updates. You can sign up to get them automatically.
Kudos to the shining star staff today who were engaged helping others while awaiting word themselves about loved ones in Haiti. Truly inspiring. The US and Haitian flags at half-mast – the right thing to do.

EARTHQUAKE IN HAITI 1-12-10
What we know so far:
o Sisters: We have had a report that the Sisters are alive, but it is unconfirmed. We have not heard directly from the Sisters, but we are cautiously optimistic.
o Others: The Rev. Oge Beauvoir, Dean of the Seminary, and his wife Serrette, are okay.
We have had no word on the Foyer Notre Dame or its residents, any convent employees, Foyer employees, or friends and relatives of Sisters as yet.
o The Convent: The Convent has been destroyed along with Holy Trinity School, Holy Trinity Cathedral, Bishop Duracin’s residence, and St. Vincent’s School for Handicapped Children.
o To donate: Monetary donations may be sent to:
The Society of St. Margaret
17 Highland Park St.
Boston, MA 02119
You can donate at the Parnters In Health website and the money will go towards emergency medical supplies, basic living necessities, as well as transportation and logistics support for the tens of thousands of people that will be seeking care at mobile field hospitals in the capital city.
There is also a link where you can forward PIH earthquake & donation information to family & friends so they can have the opportunity to donate.
